Nicole and I went to see Crash last night after dinner. The
movie begin with a interesting quote at the scene of a car wreck. "When you are moving at the speed of life, we are bound to collide into each other." The movie follows the story of several different characters and how their lives interact. This is a movie that I am going to be thinking about for a long time. The characters who were upstanding citizens and desired to do good found that
they could not and the characters who had no desire to do the right thing found that they had some desire in them to help others. This human struggle was brilliantly displayed. Racial conflict was something else that the movie really challenged me on. No matter how we try to hide it, what are the things that are really in our hearts? A couple of the scenes in this movie possibly were the most powerful things I have ever seen on film. This is a movie that will stay in my mind for awhile.
